This list is not definitive by any means but does list some of the most requested and some different activities for people coming to Ireland. Golf: Venue to the Ryder Cup 2006, and for years renowned as a place of excellence for Golf, Ireland is the place. Ireland has a wide variety of courses and types from links to parkland and from expensive to affordable so something for everybody. There are the championship courses that carry name and reputation like Ballybunion, Waterville, Tralee and Lahinch. The prestigious like the K-Club and Old Head and the good quality courses dotted all over the country that are making a name like Enniscrone, Connemara, Waterford Castle. The list of course is endless and we can recommend, and book the course to suit your itinerary and budget or book the courses that you have a specific desire to play. Equestrian: From equestrian centres to pony trekking there are so many options. For the avid equestrian there are centres all over the country that offer accommodation also, from Guesthouse to Self Catering and listed trails for up to a week long vacation. Then for the more part time rider there is pony trekking or centres that offer guided routes which are suitable for beginners or intermediates. Fishing: There is fishing to suit all tastes, from fresh water fishing to sea angling - and it is available in most regions. However some do specialise more than others, the midlands has a superb reputation for fresh water fishing and fly fishing while the south west has a good reputation for sea angling. There are also some of the great fishing house of Ireland where you can retreat for a day or more and try some good fishing with a gillie (guide). In some locations a half days fishing with a guide is available where you can also hire the equipment and have the fishing licence included at a reasonable cost.
