Pick ups from local hotels.

9:00am
Depart Waterford and travel through Carrick on Suir and west towards
the town of Clonmel, where thanks to the Italian, Charles Bianconi,
Ireland’s first public transport service began with the use of the stage
coach. Continue through horse breeding country in county Tipperary
to the town of Cashel and the historic Rock of Cashel. The 200ft
limestone outcrop originally the seat of the Kings of the province of
Munster a position held by the most powerful families in the region,
until the 11th century when it was handed over to the Christian faith
and became a major ecclesiastical centre for generations. With a prime
example of a round tower, churches, cathedral and high crosses
all encased inside its curtain walls this location has now become an
icon of Ireland. Return to the town of Clonmel and have some free time
here before travelling on the “V” drive through the Knockmealdown
Mountains. This drive takes us over the mountains with expansive views over counties Waterford, Tipperary & Kilkenny better known as the Golden Vale, Ireland’s most fertile plain. Continue to the town of Dungarvan and then to Waterford ending your daytrip.

Cost per person €60 based on a minimum of 15 people travelling.
